 FAAC introduces B604 electro-mechanical 24v barrier

Combining flexible design with 24v operation, the new B604 electro-mechanical operator from FAAC (UK) can be either wall or pedestal mounted. The ideal solution for low-use residential barriers, the flexible design offers installers the option of three beam styles with the added benefit that beam lengths can be easily modified to meet the precise specification.

A new addition to the range of FAAC barriers, the barrier can be specified with a telescopic beam extending from 1.5m to 3m, a 2.8 beam with integrated red LED lights along the length of the beam or an economy 3.8m lightweight beam. A simple balancing kit is available for the beams, allowing installers to cut the barrier to length on site. However, there is a minimal permissible length of 2.8m for the economy beam and 2.4m for the beam with integrated lights.

Easy to install, the B604 incorporates the latest technology including push button set up with self-learning feature. The motor is contained within the head secti...  [ more ]

Amplicon offers 4TB storage server for under £2000

In IP CCTV applications where high frame rates and high resolution are required, the cost of storage can be prohibitive. Amplicon is now offering a fully featured storage server with 4TB of storage for under £2000. The Impact-S2000 is an extremely cost-effective server for IP CCTV applications and has been tested with Milestone, Axis Camera Station and several other mainstream IP surveillance packages.

The Impact-S2000 from Amplicon is an off-the-shelf server that will run IP surveillance software and provide up to 4TB of hot-swappable storage. The introduction of the Impact-S2000 will make IP CCTV a far more attractive prospect to installers and integrators that are looking to make the move from the analogue world, or for existing IP converts who want to cut their server costs.

The unit is designed to fit into 2U of rack-space and has a rugged metal housing. Quality components are used throughout; enterprise class Hard Disk Drives are used to provide reliable 24/7 operation. In ...  [ more ]
