SALTO controls access at Theatre Royal

05 March 2010
The Theatre Royal Stratford East opened in 1884, and since then it has undergone many changes including the restoration of its beautiful Victorian-era auditorium to provide seating for up to 460 people on three levels. The refurbishment project provided the theatre with both technical facilities and public areas fit for the 21st Century.

Its latest upgrade plan is to improve security in key areas of the building and SALTO Systems have been awarded the contract to supply a fully integrated XS4 solution which includes access control and stand alone locks using RFID Mifare cards. The installation will be carried out by local SALTO Inspired Business Partner Delta Security.

The XS4 system’s off-line doors will be validated by regular use of the ‘hot-spot’ on-line access control readers. The system is scalable to cover all the theatres future development needs.

David Mundy, Operations Manager of Delta Security, said “It is a huge compliment to us that the Theatre Royal Stratford East has chosen us to provide the latest SALTO access control technology for this historic entertainment venue.”
